Oh the good old bathroom, bright, busy and one of our favourite elements in a home. They’re generally the first room we visit when we wake up and the last room we visit before going to bed. Bathrooms can quite often become a last-thought when it comes to styling but don’t despair, Spatial has all the tips and tricks you need to spice up this special little room.

Get creative with your placements

An essential addition to any bathroom is a tray. Add an odd number of items on top, this could be: soap, tooth brushes or lotions. Incorporate some natural elements such as a small plant, a shell or some coral.

Accessorize your bath

Adding a bath tray to your tub creates a more homely feel. Experiment with candles, plants or books to jazz up your bath time routine and create an ambient mood.

Style a small stool

If you have a smaller bathroom try styling a small stool. Candles, crystals and body products are the table-top piece for a wooden or marble stool.

Minimalistic elements are a winner 

Stylize your shower and bathroom bottles by transferring lotions, conditioners and shampoos into neutral, plain bottles. 

Use everyday bathroom pieces as art

Add a splash of colour into your bathroom with a bold, brightly coloured towel. Stylish towels are the perfect addition to a neutral, plain bathroom. 

Use a bath mat 

Centre your bathroom around a statement bath mat. This could add texture, patterns and warmth to the room. 

Plants, plants, plants

Bringing greenery into the bathroom helps to purify the air and provides a natural element in the room. Try hanging plants from the shower or adding a large plant in the corner of the room. Spider plants, Aloe Vera, Orchids and Ferns are the perfect bathroom plant.

Hampers help hide clutter

Keep your dirty laundry under wraps with a hamper that is both stylish and practical. Alternatively if you’re short on storage space, stash your essential bathroom pieces inside.

Mirror, mirror on the wall

A statement mirror is a great way to inject some personality into a sterile looking bathroom. Make it more dramatic by hanging a mirror from a wall on a chunky strap or hook.
